A Case of Dubin - Johnson Syndrome without Pigmentation in Liver Cell

Abstract

|
A case of Dubin-Johnson Syndrome in 23 year old Korean girl with family history was presented. The patient was admitted because of persistent jaundice and indigestion. Physical examination revealed palpable liver of 2 finger breadth. Laboratory findings showed increased serum bilirubin with indirect reacting bilirubin predominating and secondary rising of bromsulphalein in serum at 2 hour after injection. Oral cholecystography revealed well visualization of gall-bladder. Needle biopsy specimen of liver showed no deposition of pigments and were almost normal histologically. Brief review f the literature was done.
